Load Module Systems

Load Module Systems

Load module systems from Aerofilm are purpose-built solutions that harness the power of air casters to move heavy equipment and machinery with ease, safety, and pinpoint control. These systems are ideal for a wide array of industrial applications—whether you're relocating production lines, transporting equipment during plant start-ups, or shifting massive loads between assembly and shipping. By using compressed air to float heavy objects on a thin film, load module systems eliminate the need for cranes, rails, or excessive manpower, streamlining operations while reducing risk and cost.

Backed by over 40 years of expertise, Aerofilm Systems has established itself as a trusted manufacturer of high-performance air caster solutions. Their load module systems are designed for durability, adaptability, and precise load handling across industries such as manufacturing, logistics, aerospace, and energy. In addition to standard modules, Aerofilm offers complementary products like air planks and air caster pallets—ensuring a complete, customizable solution for any heavy transport challenge. With Aerofilm’s load module systems, businesses can move more, with less effort, and greater control.

A set includes the following components:

  • Air casters: The diameter and membrane’s working pressure determine the capacity of the air caster. Various types are available to suit your needs.
  • Support plates: Plate modules attach to air caster elements, facilitating air transfer and ensuring stability between the object and caster element.
  • Landing pads: These pads, mounted on the support plate, protect the air caster element, even when not in use.
  • Air regulator manifold: This manifold distributes air from the compressor to different air casters. Each caster can be adjusted individually, particularly useful when the center of gravity is not in the middle.
  • Supply hose: Available in any length, the hose connects the air source to the air regulator manifold. Longer lengths may result in pressure loss, mitigated by selecting a thicker hose for increased length.
  • Distribution hose: These hoses, between the air manifold and support plates, can be ordered in any length.
